How to become a quickbooks pro advisor? Here are the simple steps you should undertake.

SignUp for QuickBooks Online Accountant Program

First, you must create a profile by signing up on the QuickBooks ProAdvisor Program Website. Enter the necessary credentials – your name, email address, and phone number – and you’re ready. The best part? Registration is completely free!

You can register through the website or an invitation sent by a client through email. Similar to website registration, signing up through an invitation is free, does not require contracts, and can be canceled anytime.

Train and Prepare for the QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor Certification Exam

Once you create your account, you can access all the needed learning materials, study guides, webinars (live and recorded), and exams for free. To pass the exam, you must study rigorously, so do not hesitate to take advantage of all the materials provided to you to gain sufficient knowledge. Various training courses are available on the left menu to help prepare you for the certification exams.

Take the QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor Certification Exam

The certification exam can be accessed by clicking the “Take Exam” button in the upper-right portion of the QuickBooks Online Certification list of courses. To pass, you need to score a total of 80%. You can move on to another certification exam only after passing the first. Each has five sections, and you have three and a half hours to finish them.

Like all other processes in becoming a QuickBooks ProAdvisor, taking the exam is free. If you fail on your first three attempts, you will be locked out for 60 days. You can only retake the exam after the lock period is over.

Examinations are intimidating, and you might need a little more help. Aside from the free materials Intuit provides on your training account, you can also seek guidance from consultants and other QuickBooks ProAdvisors.
